29th March 2018 0 Comments
Our annual Crabtree Boat Race Festival returned again on Saturday 24th March. Our prayers were answered and the weather held off so we could fully celebrate the legendary Oxford and Cambridge race down the Thames. And boy did we celebrate.
The day saw us play host to 5 incredible live bands with stand-out performances from the Hanging Baskets and Dat Brass, who lead the crowd with their megaphones, trombones and a rather rousing rendition of Seven Nation Army. We had a plethora of bars and pop-up food stalls serving a whole delicious spectrum of beverages and edibles from traditional stone-fired pizza’s to boxed-up brisket and veggies.
All of those things are certainly worth a mention but the real stars of the day were you guys. Without your support and high spirits the day would have not been possible so we at Metro would like to thank you for making this year’s Boat Race Festival the best one yet.
Watch this space for updates on 2019’s festival.
