We are delighted to welcome back the Prince of Wales in East Molesey, after a brief closure for refurbishment. The once slightly austere grey interior has been transformed into a plush, opulent space, full of dark wood and rich leathers.
The bottle green walls and atmospheric lighting lend real cosiness to the front bar and will no doubt prove a candle-lit refuge from the cold during the winter months. The dining area is warm and welcoming, accommodating dining parties of varying sizes, and providing the perfect setting within which to enjoy the new autumn dishes that have just landed on the menu.
New dishes include honey roast fig with goat’s cheese, venison ragu with pappardelle, and braised lamb shoulder with pearl barley, smoked bacon and salsa verde – all hearty, warming and perfect for autumn.
The team at the Prince of Wales are well established and are excited to head into Christmas with their gleaming new pub. Come summer, the beer garden that has been retained will provide a rare sun trap in which to enjoy a rosé or two, or to rest your legs after a walk through Hampton Court Park.
We can’t wait to hear what our Molesey locals think of the new Prince and look forward to maintaining our royal reputation in the area.
