Getting the team back together

For the first time in almost two years our General Managers and HQ team were able to get together at The Grand in Brighton for our long-awaited conference and awards night. We took this opportunity to reflect on the past 18 months and our exciting future ahead and recognised all the amazing talent we have here at Metropolitan Pub Company.

New exciting ventures were presented by our commercial team, looking towards the future and our journey ahead with property expansions and new members joining the ever-growing Metro Family.

Marketing and the food and drink team presented new game-changing ways of working, helping to scale-up our strategy and create flexibility in a framework for our General Managers. But, most importantly ensuring we deliver exceptional customer service and exceed our guest’s expectations.

Our Operations and People departments joined forces to establish the best outputs to drive team behaviours in our pubs and how we can improve our culture to drive the best results.

After a day of constructive learning and innovation, we hit the red carpet for our awards evening. This evening was so important to us, to recognise and celebrate the brilliant talent we have in our business. It is safe to say hard work and perseverance are two key factors our people strive on and we couldn’t have been prouder to celebrate this.

After the awards, we danced the night away, in true ‘Metropolitan’ style. We have a captivating journey ahead and we look forward to making next year’s conference even more inspiring, as we look to the future and the exciting opportunities ahead.
