It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

….in every Metro pub.

In preparation for the festive season, we got our General Managers, Head Chefs and, as we term them, Christmas Coordinators together for our annual Christmas Showcase at the Old Dairy in Finsbury Park. We hold this event every year to get our teams in the festive spirit (that’s right, already!) and to make sure that all members of our pubs’ management teams go away with plenty of inspiration for how to deliver a very merry Christmas to their guests.

Our team enjoyed samples from their Christmas menus, including festive canapés and sharing boards, roast meats and vegan Wellington, with all the trimmings. They also learned about the various wine pairings we have available this year to complement every menu choice.

The pub was fully decked out, with two twinkling Christmas trees and a spruce-laden back bar, along with examples of great festive blackboards and in-pub ideas to create that yuletide atmosphere that makes your local pub the cosiest and buzziest place to be.

The afternoon wrapped up with an opportunity for teams from different pubs around London to catch up with one another and a chance for them to meet with some spirit suppliers, whose warming, wintry cocktails will feature on many a Metropolitan bar this Christmas.
