About The Swan
The Swan is a beautiful 17th century listed building, situated in the picturesque village of Pangbourne with traditional setting oak beams and three open fires to keep you warm and cosy during those long and frosty winter nights. And for those lazy summer days we have a beautiful terrace overlooking the river Thames, perfect for drinking and dining and soaking up the summer sun. We also have our own moorings alongside our terrace garden which are guests are more than welcome to use.
Our menus are created with the commitment to use the best, freshest, British ingredients wherever possible, and to prepare them with passion. Our Brunch dishes include a simple granola & apple yoghurt pot, with thyme honey, or Confit duck leg hash, fried duck egg, wild mushrooms and toast, as well as a traditional English breakfast. Our lunch and dinner menus offer fresh, seasonal produce and dishes range from our traditional fish and chips, with mushy peas, to our sharing Chateaubriand, served with bone marrow, chips and a béarnaise sauce. Alongside our lunch and dinner menus, we also run our bar snacks menu n which includes dishes such our double duck scotch egg and ploughman’s lunch for those looking for something lighter. Children are of course more than welcome at the Swan, and we do have a specifically tailored menu to suit all! And finally, not forgetting our delicious Sunday lunch menu with whole roast chicken, tender brisket of beef and succulent pork shoulder served until 6pm every Sunday.
We love our beer here at the Swan so we rotate our cask ales that we have on offer to bring you the best cask ales, served alongside our wonderful selection of draught craft lagers. We are also very passionate about our spirits and have a fantastic range for you to try, as well as our award winning fever tree mixers.
