About The Anglesea Arms

The Anglesea Arms is found on Selwood Terrace in South Kensington, where Charles Dickens once resided at no. 11. The site was originally a market garden and nursery dating back to 1712. A beautiful traditional pub that feels older than it looks with warranted reputation for its excellent food and drink offering…

There is a large terrace out the front of the pub, and a few tables down the side of the pub, where you can eat from both menus and enjoy the sun (if there is any).

We are very happy for people to bring in dogs to the pub, but in our restaurant we run on a strict no dog policy.

All our food is freshly prepared and cooked on site in our kitchen.  We like to straddle the line between offering pub classics done really well and exciting new seasonal dishes which change frequently!  We offer 3 roasts every Sunday, all with Yorkshire pudding!  The “Daddy Roast” option of having all three on your plate was so popular last Father’s Day we have decided to make it a weekly staple so come and try it out – but book early to avoid disappointment.

Our main menu is available in our Dining Room which can be reserved and also in our bar.  We also offer an ever changing bar snack menu to soak up the beer – including our famous mini sausages!

To book a table in our Dining Room please give us a call or send us an email until we get our booking system up and running properly.

This is what we are really known and loved for – our great range of 6 ever changing hand pull cask ales are a real feature of the pub and have had people returning for many a decade!  With GK IPA a mainstay, surrounded by local (and the occasional far travelled) beer of varying styles and strengths, our selection puts everyone else’s to shame.  Accompany this with a deep and exciting wine list, a huge selection of whisk(e)ys, gins, rums, vodkas and aperi & digestifs, as well as an oft changing selection of draught and bottled lagers and ciders and there’s something on offer for any and every one!

Rugby World Cup

It’s finally here, and we in South West London are hosting a whole lot of it!  We will be showing every game, all the way from England’s opener vs Fiji on Friday 18th September to their final appearance (presumptive much?!) on 31st October!  Not sure where to watch it?  Think no further and come and grab a table or a standing spot in front of one of our TVs whilst enjoying your favourite pint of bitter or glass (or magnum?) of wine.

It’s that time of year again when summer has left us and people start to think about what they’re doing for this year’s Christmas party… well think and look no further because we have everything you could ask for right here.  Pick up a copy of this year’s festive menu from the bar or ask us to email it to you and let’s start talking about what works for you!

Give us a call and let us plan your party for you!  Gynette is in charge this year, so ask for her… and if she’s not around she’ll get back to you within 24 hours!  So let us do the worrying for you, sit back, and look forward to a great meal and atmosphere for YOUR Christmas Party – no matter how big (although we are a small pub!) or small!

Christmas itself lies on a looooong weekend this year so whilst we will be closed as usual on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, you are very welcome to drop by and see us for drinks and a bite on the 27th/28th and through to 2016!  Detailed opening times will follow closer to the time – no one wants to overdose on Christmas before October!
